How to Measure Trailer Axles
There are three things you’ll want to measure when purchasing new heavy duty trailer axles: hub face, spring center, and overall length. We previously talked about the hub face length. This is simply the distance from one hub face to the other. Spring center length is the distance from the center of one spring to the other. If you have a torsion axle, you do not need to worry about this measurement. Finally, you can find the overall length of the trailer axle by measuring the distance between the trailer spindles.
